Prince of Wales, Welcome Arch, Fairlie Place, Fairlie Place

The Welcome Arch was built by Nawab Abdul Ghani C.S.I and his son Nawab Ahsunullah Khan Bahadur to commemorate the visit of his royal highness Albert Edward to Calcutta in 1875.

This Welcome Arch is currently being used by the hawkers as it is in a prominent location of Fairlie place. The Calcutta Heritage Collective plans to restore it with its former glory.
