The walk took the participants through the historical theatrical sites in North Calcutta, where the thakur dalans of the great mansions were the epicenter of early Bengali theatre. A few of the sites covered in this walk are Jorasanko Thakurbari, the site of National Theatre, which was the first Bengali commercial theatre, the Oriental Seminary, Star Theatre, a place which has close links with the meteoric rise of women artists.
