Bidhan Sarani or Cornwallis Street was the place which was the hot bed for nationalism and the centre for cultural, social and literary renaissance. Its alleys and lanes have witnessed the emergence of nationalist politics which gave the impetus to the movement for freedom.

This Walk will try to uncover the roots of the Bengal Renaissance which moulded the modern Indian mind .Though now lost, its heritage still remains as the most powerful influence in moulding current social and political thoughts.
